Gymboree Could Foul Up Gap's Turnaround Strategy

Of all the doable road blocks that the Gap faces in its turnaround initiatives, children's brand name Gymboree didn't seem like a single of them. But in a astonishing turn of occasions, Gap's manufacturer -new president, Mark Breitbard, is reportedly heading to Gymboree soon after just a few months in his present purpose, writes WWD. What's more, he could bring  Evan Price, a vice president of finance for Gap North America, together with him. While Gap wouldn't comment on the Gymboree reports, they did announce the departure of global vice president of women's style, Cynthia Ng Villaluz, who still left for J. C. Penney. As WWD place it, these moves "would be a blow to Gap's turnaround efforts."
