Geri "Ginger" Halliwell is a proud patriot.
Fifteen years after she performed at the Brit Awards in her now iconic Union Jack dress (featuring a white peace symbol on the back), the 40-year-old singer revamped the look when she joined her Spice Girls bandmates at the London Olympics closing ceremonies August 12.
Singing a medley of the band's two biggest hits, "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life," Halliwell sauntered around the stage -- and whizzed around the arena in taxi cab! -- in a red Suzanne Neville dress featuring a Union Jack bustle. She accessorized with a gold crown and gold Isabel Marant booties.
This isn't the first time Halliwell has updated her memorable ensemble: when the Spice Girls reunited for a world tour in 2007, she donned a glittery version of her 1997 mini while performing her solo hit remake of "It's Raining Men."
Halliwell and fellow Spice Girls Vic toria "Posh" Beckham, 38, Emma "Baby" Bunton, 36, Melanie "Scary" Brown, 37, and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, 38, are the most successful female music group of all time, with more than 75 million records sold since they formed in 1994.
