Giving potential moviegoers a look at what to expect when it rides into theaters, the trailer for the upcoming surfer film "Chasing Mavericks" has just seen release.
The 20th Century Fox production finds Gerard Butler portraying wave riding great Rick "Frosty" Hesson in the Curtis Hanson directed motion picture.
Based on the inspirational true story of surfing icon Jay Moriarty (Jonny Weston), "Chasing Mavericks" tells the story of a young man's quest to surf Northern California's most dangerous wave, and the local legend who takes him under his wing.
Also starring Elisabeth Shue, Leven Rambin and Abigail Spencer, "Chasing Mavericks" is slated for an Oct ober 26th debut date.
