Last night, MAC and Carine Roitfeld celebrated their new make-up collaboration with a social gathering at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild. From 10 p.m. onward, doormen with kohl-rimmed lids &mdash the dress code becoming "black tie, smoky eye" ( yes, Rachel Zoe's partner Rodger Berman obliged, also ) &mdash ushered massive names through the large stone gates. Inside, a black-and-white training video of Roitfeld applying her make-up was projected onto the ceiling and black-clad ballet dancers performed on podiums. Meanwhile, MAC make-up artists have been readily available during the evening to employ small stars close to people's eyes (the stencils are aspect of CR's kit ), and singer Paloma Faith, carrying a slinky green gown with a rainbow-dyed rabbit's foot connected to just one armpit, executed a brief established close to 11 : 30 p.m.
