How Has Anne Hathaway's Les Miserables Hair Cut Influenced Her Style? EXCLUSIVE

Anne Hathaway Les Miserables Hair Cut Style | Grazia Beauty

Grazia Daily spent last night shivering in the freezing cold at the world premiere of Les Miserables in Leicester Square. Was it worth it? Hells yeah! We got the chance to speak exclusively to the star of the film herself, Anne Hathaway, and no prizes for guessing what we wanted to discuss...

After chopping off her long brunette hair for the role, we've watched in wonder as the actress grows out her skinhead into a dainty pixie crop, but has the new 'do had an influence on her style? ‘I’m getting used to the cut now and I have completely fallen in love with collars,’ Anne told us. 'There isn’t a collared shirt that I don’t love right now and I like the last gentleman look more than ever, but I still like to go between mannish and super feminine styles’.

From feminine to edgy: Anne's new 'do has influenced her style

Indeed, the actress revealed that she had taken to teaming the short cut with a statement neckline or a simple collar. The gallery above is proof that it's working a treat and her new approach was clear to see on last night's red carpet as she swooshed past the paps in a a dazzling shoulder-less AND backless Givenchy Couture dress. Yep, now is the time to experiment with necklines - the dress would've been wasted if a tousled mane was covering all that detailing.

We also grabbed a chat with the producer of the movie, Deborah Hayward. She gave us her eye-witness account of Anne’s reaction to the monumental cut. ‘It was an incredibly emotional day for her because as you know, she was getting married. So, as a woman, I was like “Oh my God, are you sure you want to cut your hair? You’re going to get married soon!”. But it was absolutely her choice. She discussed it with the director and she thought that was what she needed to do in order to progress that character and take it to a dark place. She was incredibly emotional for the entire day that we did it, but as she continues experimenting with different styles she’s certainly learning t o love it now’. And we are loving watching Anne's hair updates.

Will you be giving The Hathaway a go?
