Campbell, 21, steamed ahead to be the first Magnolia Cup winner at Glorious Goodwood last year, but sadly, she couldn't emulate the success yesterday.
Jewellery designer Philippa Holland riding Russian Bullet, took the title, while 5ft 10 Edie, on George Baker, came fourth.

"I just love it - it's so much fun" said Edie, who kept a candid diary published by the Telegraph chronicling how she juggled her studies with numerous modelling assignments and horse training for the race, which involved lots of running, cycling and squats. She even put on weight for the cause: "I've indulged more" she revealed. "I'm at 11 stone, so it is back to the real jockey's diet, so to speak, now."

Radio One DJ Sara Cox and Trish Simonon, clad in silks designed by her friend Kate Moss, also took part. The Celebrity Ladies' Charity Race was staged to raise funds for Spinal Research and Winston's Wish.
Holland, who has just launched her new website, did encounter a slight misdemeanour after her victory. ""I was hoping no one would notice what happened after the finish line. He [Russian Bullet] carried on going and there was a bar at the end - as another jockey fell, so did I. Edie waited for me and a punter gave me a leg up, so I got back on."
Stylish guests cheering the ladies on included Anna Friel and singer, Sunday Girl.
