Italian accessory brand Tod's love an edgy British fashion editor. First they tapped Dazed & Confused founder and Another editor, Jefferson Hack to design a collaborative collection for them, and now LOVE editor and super-stylist, Katie Grand has followed suit with a capsule accessory collection for sister label, Hogan.
'Gang', a collection of trainers, purses, bags, pumps and sunglasses, looks at first glance like it could be aimed at schoolgirls, it's so chock-full-o rainbow bright colours and cutesy heart motifs (hearts…Love… see what they did there), but then ever was Grand fond of a playful accessory moment.
'[The purses] might be brightly coloured and decorated with hearts, but they're extremely practical' says Grand. 'I always carry a BlackBerry and iPhone wherever I go, so designed them to be just big enough to carry hold both, along with a key and credit card'.
Grand, who has worked with Hogan for several years, has also put her editing skills to work on a one-off publication featuring a shoot with 14 of her favourite models of the moment - including Alessandra Ambrosio, Saskia de Brauw, Edie Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Linda Evangelista, Magdalena Frackowiak, Dree Hemingway and Jessica Stam - showcasing the collection, along with an interview with Grand by style commentator, Derek Blasberg.
'Gang' by Katie Grand and Hogan, goes on sale worldwide in January.
