YSL's Hedi Slimane to dress The Rolling Stones?



The group announced four concert dates - two in London next month and two in New Jersey in December - last week, and over the last few days rumours have swirled that Slimane will be kitting them out for the performances.

Whilst Saint Laurent's press team will neither confirm nor deny the rumours, Slimane's past relationship with the band suggests the collaboration could very much be on the cards. The Italian-Tunisian designer dressed frontman Mick Jagger for the band's 2005 A Bigger Bang Tour, creating super-skinny trousers (a signature of Slimane's designs) and tightly-tailored jackets. The designer, who is also a respected photographer, also shot the band for his 2004 book Stage .

But kitting out the entire band would be nothing new for Slimane, who is a keen music fan - he has previously created stagewear for groups such as The Libertines, Daft Punk, and The Kills.
