When we discovered that the gorgeous Lara Stone would be fronting the global advertising campaign for Calvin Klein Euphoria earlier this year, we were rather, erm, euphoric. A collaboration between one of fashion's best loved brands and most beautiful faces can never be a bad thing, right? And the Dutch beauty seemed as delighted as us: “I’m honoured to be the face of Calvin Klein's new euphoria fragrance campaign, as it’s such an iconic brand.”
This was all back in May, so we had a long wait on our hands but, finally, the much anticipated ad has landed and Lara is on fire – quite literally! Although we loved the soft seduction of the last campaign, fronted by the achingly beautiful Natalie Vodianova, it seems the people at Calvin Klein have progressed from whimsical seduction to bold and vampish – and we are loving the new look. Gone is the soft lilac lighting and in its place are explosions of crimson and magenta flames. As the ad opens, Ms Stone cuts a fierce figure, strutting her stuff in a striking red dress against a billowing backdrop of fuchsia flames. Afterwards follow close-ups galore of that famous pout and impossibl y sharp cheekbones, punctuated with flashes of the model bathed in red light and writhing seductively. Then things really heat up with a stunning explosion of yet more flames which accentuates the models elegant silhouette and smouldering gaze.
