Valentino's New Year's party upsets neighbours

He may be an octogenarian, but that doesn't mean Valentino Garavani has hung up his dancing shoes.

The iconic designer is allegedly in hot water with neighbours after hosting a raucous New Year's Eve party at his palatial Gstaad chalet.

His less-than-amused fellow residents at the exclusive ski resort in the Swiss Alps were reportedly forced to contact police after Valentino continued to play loud music into the early hours of January 1.

"They were playing dance music all night, and a lot of Madonna songs," a source told the New York Post . "A number of residents complained to the police as it was echoing around the mountain, and one officer went to speak to someone at the gate of Valentino's chalet. But it didn't seem to make much difference, and the music just carried on."

Rather deliciously, Madonna herself was one of the guests at the bash and was said to dance all night long - presumably to her own tunes - along with actress Anne Hathaway, for whom Valentino recently designed a pink-tinted wedding dress .

We thought Valentino was more of a feet-up-and-a-cuppa kind of guy, but how wrong we were.
